I’m beyond excited to finally share something I’ve been working on for a long time: the brand-new Tales of Varestal website! This will be the true home of the Archives of Dravengarde — a place where you can explore not only the stories themselves, but also the lore, the world, and my journey as an author.
Here’s what’s waiting for you:
New Features & Pages
- Decorative Homepage — A redesigned front page with atmosphere, banners, and smoother navigation to bring the world of Atherra to life.
- Chapters Hub — A central archive where you can read The Shattered Crown, The Fall of the Duke, and (soon) Where the Prince Lay Dying. Each story has its own caption and easy access to chapters.
- The Codex — A living lore archive. You’ll find:
- Kingdoms of Atherra, complete with banners and cultural breakdowns
- House Sigils for every major noble family across the realm
- The Sacred Triarch, including custom emblems and an overview of each denomination
- The Chronicle — a detailed historical timeline that carries you from the Dawn of Kingdoms all the way to the events of Where the Prince Lay Dying.
- About the Author — A personal space where I share my journey as a writer, my inspirations, and even some glimpses into life with my daughter, Elisia.
- Contact Page — A direct way to reach me with questions, feedback, or collaborations.
This is more than just a website — it’s an expanding digital archive of Varestal, one that will keep growing as the stories unfold.
Updates on the Books
I want to be transparent here: I’ve decided to pause posting new chapters of Where the Prince Lay Dying for a short while. I haven’t been meeting the deadlines I’ve set for myself, and I don’t want to give you anything rushed or half-formed. That story deserves my full attention, and I’d rather catch up and polish it properly than fail my readers with inconsistency.
That said — the next chapter of The Fall of the Duke will be posted soon, right on schedule. The novella is complete and leads directly into the storm that defines The Shattered Crown.
Closing Thoughts
This website marks a new chapter not just for Varestal, but for me as an author. It’s a home where the stories, the worldbuilding, and my own voice can live side by side. Thank you for supporting me through every delay, every release, and every whisper of fiction that has grown into something greater.
